Introduction
To enable Two-Way SMS you must have the following requirements:
This guide will explain how to accomplish the above points.
Twilio Account
Twilio is required to service your inbound and outbound text messages from Truckin Digital.
Twilio will bill you each month on your usage. For Twilio pricing, please visit the Twilio SMS Pricing page: https://www.twilio.com/sms/pricing/us
Please login to your Twilio account by visiting www.twilio.com/login If you don’t have an account, please create one.
Twilio Phone Number
You can port your existing number or purchase a new number.
Twilio phone number purchase required.
1. From the left-hand menu, please expand messaging and select services.
Then click on the create messaging service button.
You will create messaging service
2. Add senders, then select Phone Number and hit continue.
3. Select Buy Number.
4. Then select a number that matches your locality that you wish to use.
5. Once you have purchased phone number, please click on configure telephone number.
6. Add Emergency Address – This is required *Fee will apply from Twilio if you do not apply an emergency address.
7. Then scroll down to the Messaging section, and paste the following URL below on the row called “A MESSAGE COMES IN”

8. Go to Services on left hand menu and click TRUCKIN DIGITAL.
Then select Add Senders.
9. Select Phone Number and click Continue.
10. Then select the number you just purchased by checking the box and click on the Add Phone Numbers button.
Twilio API Key
Generate Twilio API Key and connect to the Truckin Digital Connected Services Twilio (Two-Way SMS) service.
Add-On for Two-Way SMS License purchase is required.
1. Next step is to generate the API key from Twilio. Navigate to API keys & tokens from the top right menu.
2. You will receive a one-time verification code sent to your email.
3. Select Create API Key
Enter friendly name TRUCKIN DIGITAL and select Create API Key button 
4. Copy your SID and Secret. Please make sure to save it on your desktop, as you will need it on the next slide.
OPTIONAL (JUST IN CASE)
If for some odd reason the above SID and API Key doesn't work, you can find your LIVE CREDENTIALS Auth Token on bottom left and use the SID / API key from there.
Truckin Digital Connected Services Connection
Once connection has been established, we will enable your SMS function in the Chat Module immediately.
You can receive inbound and send outbound messages.
1. Go to Truckin Digital and select the Connected Services icon on left hand menu.
Then select Connect button for the Twilio (Two-Way SMS) service.
2. Paste your SID Key and Secret Key that you just copied from Twilio then click Connect.
3. Next navigate to the top right menu and select Billing to enable the Two-Way SMS Add-On.
4. Then select Addons.
5. Then select SMS Two-Way from the addon list.
6. Next, Navigate to Company Settings by selecting the Gear icon on the bottom of the left menu.
Then navigate to the SMS Communications menu, select your recently purchased Phone Number from the list. This number is considered your main incoming and outbound number.
A2P 10DLC Requirement
In order to send SMS and MMS messages to the U.S. using 10DLC phone numbers, all messages must be sent via an approved application-to-person (A2P) Campaign.
Any unregistered U.S.-bound messages will be blocked. To see which of your numbers are compliant, you may check the registration status of your phone numbers.

1. Download the CSV to view the numbers that are sending unregistered segments.
These numbers need to be registered with a US A2P 10DLC Campaign.
2. Check out these instructions to understand how to register these phone numbers.
Completing this registration allows you to get lower fees, higher deliverability, and less filtering.

You are all set and connected!
You will receive incoming text messages to the phone number you selected.
This number will also be registered for any outbound messages you send as well.
To send SMS, make sure the SMS tick mark is checked.
