1. Ideally, entering the DOT number first is beneficial as it extracts data from the DOT number and pre-populates some information. In addition to manually adding a carrier, you can opt to send an Onboarding Link to the carrier, allowing them to submit all the required documentation upon completion of the onboarding process via a link sent to their email.

2. The required fields for sending an Onboarding Link to a carrier include: Carrier DOT, Carrier Name, Phone Number, Email, and Travel Capability.

3. Once the Onboarding Link is sent to the Carrier, they will receive an email featuring your Brokerage company's logo along with the onboarding link.

4. Upon clicking the link, the Carrier is redirected to the Carrier Onboarding page where they are prompted to enter their Basic Details as the initial step.

5. The Next Step involves Operations, where the carrier chooses the types of equipment and their operational areas.

6. After completing the Operations step, the Next Step is the Contact Book, where the carrier enters their contact information.

7. The Next Step involves setting up Payment Terms. In this section, carrier specify Payment Terms, opt to activate Pay Factoring, and input the details of the factoring company. There is also the option to enable Quick Pay.

The payout method at this step incorporates a Fraud Alert; this applies specifically if the carrier opts for the ACH method. Should the carrier input fraudulent information, an alert will be triggered in our system, making you aware of potential fraud.

8. Prior to the final step, the Documents phase of carrier self-onboarding necessitates the upload of all required documentation. The carrier must upload the following: Master Agreement, W9, Authority, Reference Sheet, Auto Liability Insurance, Cargo Insurance, General Liability, and any other custom documents associated with the carrier.

9. In the final step, the template will be updated to include the Motor Carrier Master Agreement, which encompasses the master agreement from your Brokerage Company Settings, along with brokerage details and signature. Additionally, the carrier will need to provide an electronic signature, their printed name, and title.
10. Once the onboarding process is complete, this carrier will be listed with a pending status. You can then review their uploaded documents before changing the carrier's status to active.
